Miss Granny Sarah Geronimo and Nova Villa, Thankful for Movie-Goers; P135 Million Gross on 2nd Weekend

Sarah Geronimo, James Reid and Xian Lim are three of the biggest stars in the Philippine showbiz industry at present, and they have teamed up for a blockbuster movie entitled "Miss Granny"!

It is a popular film originally from South Korea, and a lot of other Asian countries have done remakes of the movie due to its success.

The Philippine adaptation of "Miss Granny" has been receiving alot of positive feedback ever since its first day of showing in cinemas last August 22! In fact, it has already earned P135 million on its 2nd week!

The stars of the film are very thankful for the continuous love and support for "Miss Granny," and both Sarah and veteran actress and comedienne, Nova Villa, expressed their gratitude.

"I am so thankful to Viva and N2 Productions. Salamat nang marami for giving me the chance, for giving me the break, a very good break. Sa edad kong ito, pinagkatiwalaan niyo ako, maraming salamat. Thank you so much, sa mga nanood po, maraming-maraming salamat. Talagang itong nararamdaman namin ngayon, kami ng actors na nag-portray sa Miss Granny, weíre very grateful. Thank you talaga for the support, for watching the movie, for all the applause, yung magaganda ninyong sinasabi. We really tried our best na mabuo nang maganda ang pelikulang ito. This is for the Filipino people, this is for the Philippines," Ms. Nova said in a recent interview with PEP.

Meanwhile, the Popstar Royalty thanked the people who continue to support "Miss Granny" via Twitter and also in the noontime variety show "ASAP."

The story of "Miss Granny" revolves around an elderly woman in her 70s who mysteriously went back to being her 20-year-old self, therefore having a second chance at life.

Sarah plays the role of young Miss Granny, while Ms. Nova portrays the elder version.

The Filipino remake of "Miss Granny" is directed by Joyce Bernal, so best believe that it is an amazing movie that will surely leave you in both laughter and tears! It is still showing in cinemas nationwide, so make sure to catch it on the big screen while you still can!
