Touching story behind Sarah Geronimo’s ‘Isa Pang Araw’

In the movie, "Miss Granny," the lead character, Fely de Leon portrayed by Sarah Geronimo sang a very relatable song entitled, "Isa Pang Araw."

It was sang at the ending part of the film and talks about how time passes by so fast that we sometimes forget to treasure the people that we love. Sometimes we want to ask God for another day just to be with that someone that we loved.

The composer of the song, Miguel Mendoza shared in an interview with Manila Times that he wrote this song for his dad.

"Isa Pang Arawí is a song inspired from the loss of my dad,î he shared.

ìWhen you lose someone you love permanently, there is always a moment wherein you bargain with God and ask for even just one more day to be with that person."

This song was specifically chosen by Sarah herself. Because of that, Miguel also expressed how happy he is.

ìIím still not sure how to feel until now. I canít believe I wrote something that touched so many people. Plus, having Sarah Geronimo choose this song to sing for her movie, I just canít find the words to express how I feel.

"Itís mesmerizing. I couldnít help but tear up specially when there were flashbacks in the movie of moments with her family. I also had my own with my dad. I just really miss him.î
